You did not get sick overnight so you can not expect to feel better overnight.

I remember when a mentor told me I shouldn’t be a nutritionist because “people are just too sick now a days and can’t get better with diet alone.” That stuck with me.

This changed my perspective and I realized I could not just help people to eat better but I needed to really dive deep into their history and uncover everything that has been impacting them from birth.

Nutrition is the foundation and it should be as early as 2 years before conceiving but unfortunately a lot of us grew up with parents that did not understand this even tho they truly did their best.

You do not need to eliminate dairy for your breast feeding baby due to colic, acid reflux or eczema, or whatever else blanket recommendation you are given. Perhaps they just inherited your gut microbiome and mineral status.

I also hate to break it to you but you don’t have painful periods, IBS, acne, or thyroid issues “just because” this goes WAY back my friend.

I grew up as a 90’s kid. My mom smoked cigarettes with me in the womb. I was formula fed.

I was exposed to toxins from day one with scented everything, sunscreens, bug sprays, gerber baby food, high fructose corn syrup and canola oil galore.

Antibiotics for eczema.

I loved bath and body works lotion or victoria secret love spell perfume.

I was obsessed with sour patch kids, diet coke and little debbies.

Frozen pizzas and some conventional processed meat and skim milk was a staple.

I was on birth control for 12 years.

I would go out drinking in my 20’s, get 2 hours of sleep and then do it all over again the next day. I worked for an energy drink company at the time, so you can imagine.

I started to get into “health” and decided to buy tons of random supplements I was told to take by some random person on the internet, I over-exercised and under-nourished.

Oh and then I play victim and pretend like I had no idea why I was sick and my health came crashing down on me.

You see, your entire life is a reflection of your health today. Even the small things.

That mentor was wrong.

People are not too sick to help, you just need to deeply understand them, where they came from and have the tools to be able to help them.
