The majority of women ages 16-65 are unknowingly struggling with estrogen dominance

How many times have you said “It must be hormonal.” Ehhh likely not.

Like I always say. Your hormonal issues are not actually hormonal.

Hormones are downstream, you never ever address hormones first. And if someone recommends aggressive supplements like DIM without considering your lifestyle, digestion, thyroid, cortisol and minerals RUN!

I am seeing younger and younger woman suffering with estrogen dominance symptoms. Girls as early as 9 starting their periods and women going through menopause at 40. Most children being born estrogenic from birth.

Women suffering with painful, heavy periods, cysts, fibroids, sore breasts, migraines, headaches, PMS, anxiety, depression, mood swings, weight gain, bloating and low libido. Breast cancer is at an all time high.

We live in a highly estrogenic world and it’s only getting worse. Our environment is flooded, our food supply and water is no longer safe, all our personal care and cleaning products are bombarded. We are now injecting and putting toxic substances in our bodies all for some made up beauty standard or cultural norm. All at the sake of our health and thyroids.

We are working jobs we hate and spending days under fluorescent and blue light screens rather than outdoors.

We are all so stressed out that we can’t even make dinner for ourselves or think about all the other things that might be impacting our health. Looking for quick fixes.

We are transitioning to eating fake man-made foods, most of us consuming them our whole lives through processed garbage. None of this works with our physiology and is impacting our digestion, minerals and health.

Our lifestyles and diets are trash. We are no longer living true to ourselves and being bombarded with conveniences that are harming us.

And we are experiencing green washing at an all time high. Companies are allowed to call things organic, safe, or clean when they are far from. No regulations.

Some of these things we simply can’t change but you can certainly start supporting your body nutritionally to become more resilient. Get back to nature, eat real food, avoid the cultural norms “they” have created. It doesn’t have to be this way.

6 foods I incorporate daily to support my hormones now that I understand my unique female physiology

I dont know who needs to hear this today but you can be the girl slaying the raw milk, raw carrot salads, boiled mushrooms, sipping bone broth, adrenal cocktails, and organ meats even if your family and friends think you are absolutely insane.

They likely got a little lost and caught up in diet culture drinking their nut milks, demonizing orange juice and sugar, limiting salt, and going more plant-based while the thought of eating red meat is a no go, let alone adding in organ meats and eating nose to tail.

Sugar free, gluten free, dairy free, free, free, free….

I dunno about you but I prefer FREEdom while understanding how my body works and what foods are most superior giving me the most bang for my buck.

When it comes to supporting your female physiology it all comes down to nourishment and bringing down stress in the body with minerals and nutrients. The more stress on your plate the more minerals and nutrients you deplete.

Unfortunately, we live in an overly stressed world, consumed by diet culture and quick fixes. We have been depriving ourselves of true nourishment for far too long, for some of us since birth and our hormones are taking a massive hit.

I remember in high school reading poetry by Sylvia Plath and she wrote about drinking bone broth to heal her menstrual cramps. I remember being 16 and thinking how strange is that just take midol 😂 I also have no idea why this has stuck with me all these years but she was on to something and intuitively listened to her body. Something we are so far removed from.

We need to forget everything we have been told and get back to nature with the food that we eat and the lifestyles that we keep to support our body in this modern day stressful, estrogenic shit show.

Keep in mind, you do not need to be having symptoms or hormonal issues to support your body and focus on nourishment. Listen to your body now before it screams.

15 signs you have gotten a little lost on your health journey

All the confusion and conflicting information on the internet these days can literally make a person go insane and quite honestly it’s just unnecessary drama.

NOBODY, LITERALLY NOBODY, KNOWS YOUR BODY BETTER THAN YOU!

Someone asked me the other day what I think about all the drama and conflicting info on the internet these days. My response “I don’t.” I simply do not care and neither should you.

I know my body.

I know what I am doing to help and empower women is life changing.

I know my truth.

I also know there is always a bigger picture to every instagram post and everything on the internet.

I know there are hidden agendas.

I also know damn well that if I had a daughter I would NEVER want her to be sucked into the confusion creating disordered eating habits and thinking they need to constantly change their body because mom does.

I would teach my daughter that health comes from nature and not an online forum or “alternative”, finding joy in the everyday and treating our bodies with respect.
Give yourself grace for getting a little lost on your journey. We have all been there and are just trying to do our best. Drown out the noise and trust your own instinct and body.

Once you understand your body better all the BS goes out the window and you can smell it from a mile away.

Your nutritionist is a 10 but…RED FLAG EDITION

I’m just going to leave this right here.

I am simply not your practitioner if you want to just be told what to do. I am a strong believer that you need to understand your body and female physiology in order to actually heal.

The missing piece is education. If we all understood our bodies better we wouldn’t fall for the BS diet and nutrition advice out there. We would have a whole lot more food freedom and feel empowered in our decisions.

Mark my words.

Listen to your body. She is constantly speaking to you.

YOU know your body best and I can assure you she is absolutely not looking to go on a diet, needs another supplement or healing gadget and certainly does not want to abide by some randomized modern day study or trial done in a lab.

Being cold all the time is not a badge of honor.

We have all seen the memes about being that girl that is cold all the time. We laugh and share them with our friends and co-workers since it’s relatable. But in all honesty this is actually not funny at all if we understood what our bodies were trying to tell us. Being cold all the time is a symptom not a badge of honor.

I remember it felt like a badge of honor that I needed to wear a coat all the time because I was freezing all the time. I associated it with being thin and athletic. That is what diet culture would like you to believe.

I was always finding ways to shove my frozen cold toes under my husband’s legs or holding his hand because of my frozen fingers.

At the time I was swapping from diet to diet. Smoothies, low salt, low fat, low carb, no sugar, fasting, forgetting to eat, salads, protein shakes and powders, dairy free, no eggs, training 2x per day and walking 2 miles to and from work. Eat less and work out more is what I was told. Salt, dairy, red meat and eggs will kill you! Carbs will make you fat! Women shouldn’t have breakfast, have a juice or a smoothie. Fasting will clear every symptom you have and make you thin!

What da 🤯

Meanwhile my cold, lifeless body was telling me otherwise. My metabolism was trashed.

Ever notice how children and men tend to be warm and comfortable all the time but women are the ones that are weak, frail and cold? It’s our dieting and lifestyles that gets us here.

It’s all about the heat baby!

According to Dr. Barnes, one of the best ways to check your metabolic rate/ thyroid is through basal metabolic temperature check.

A warm body is a sign of health. When you are chronically cold it is a sign of increased stress hormones and decreased thyroid. When your thyroid is sluggish or when you are stressed, adrenaline and cortisol rise to increase heat and energy.

Heat is a product of a high metabolic rate. People who burn glucose well will produce more waste products (heat, co2 and water) that produces a higher body temperature. More glucose burned = more heat = high metabolic rate.

Ditch the idea that being a woman means you should be cold and weak ✌🏼
