The new online trend: “Hot girls have the worst stomach issues” Let’s talk about it…

We have all seen the new trend all over Tik Tok and social media.

I appreciate the recognition that people are struggling with digestive issues but this ain’t it.

Did their “hot girl” behaviors get them to this place?

Waking up bright and early to drink your black coffee, get in a fasted HIIT workout followed with a green smoothie with almond butter, dairy free milk and pea protein powder.

Lunch is a kale salad with nuts and seeds and a lean protein source.

Snack is a high fiber protein bar and green juice.

Dinner is a lean protein source with greens and cauliflower rice.

Ya know. Just doing hot girl shit. But actually dying inside.

I have an upset stomach just reading this meal plan and this has unfortunately become the new norm for “healthy” eating for the stereotypical desirable figure.

If you were a bird this sounds great but you are a grown ass woman that requires nutrients from easy to digest sources.

It’s no surprise that 98% of those diagnosed with an eating disorder are diagnosed with a Functional GI Disorder.

I remember I once used my “healthy” restrictive diet to get rid of digestive symptoms as a disguise for my disordered eating, food fear, and weight loss attempts.

Rather than popping pepto and tums 🥴eliminating foods and going on restrictive diets void of nutrients for the sake of your digestive system get to the root of the problem and evaluate what started the digestive issues in the first place.

– poor childhood diet
– under-eating
– over-exercising
– stress and nervous system dysregulation
– sluggish metabolism
– nutrient and mineral deficiencies

You Need to Truly Feel to Heal

Do you ever wonder why there are women out there that can drink a bottle of wine every night, smoke cigarettes, eat whatever they want and never exercise a day in their life but will live and thrive until they are hundred years old?

And you are over there drinking green drinks and kombucha at parties, eating a snack you brought rather than what they provide and taking 1,000 supplements, and ditching nights out with friends because your body is so sensitive/ reactive to everything and you tell yourself it’s for #health.

I dunno about you but I prefer the wine drinking thriving old woman than the cautious cathy.

You see the thoughts that we create about our health, our lives, our self-worth, and emotional baggage is really what is keeping us from health.

Emotional freedom is the real preventative medicine.

Every emotion creates a specific biochemical reality in our bodies. The more we tell ourselves something the more we believe it.

The belief then becomes part of our biology.

Psychological and emotional factors influence our physical health greatly because our emotions and thoughts are always accompanied by biochemical reactions in our bodies. These reactions are mediated by cell membranes, which are the actual “brains” of each cell.

When we have unresolved emotional stress, this stress registers in our energy field as a disturbance that can manifest as physical illness.

Self destructive thoughts/ behaviors > divert energy away from the cells > vital cellular processes then become depleted > we then leak energy in which our anger, fear, depression, or sadness controls our lives and ability to move forward in our lives > creating illness and disease.

Unresolved emotions rob your body of energy needed to heal.

Your body is self-healing. You just have to believe it and trust it.

9 Lies You Have Been Told About Health and Your Body

Talk about confusing and stressful as hell.

If we followed all this advice we would be loaded with synthetic hormones, energy deficient, eating loads of PUFAs, ridden with disease and digestive issues, starving and malnourished AF.

So what’s the actual truth?

Birth control is classified as a carcinogen. Yes, it’s that harmful and does not get to the root of your symptoms but rather masks them with synthetic hormones.

No you can not get pregnant all month long! You have a tiny window you can get pregnant each cycle, learn the FAM method and ditch the birth control.

Meat, diary and saturated fat are some of the most nutritious foods on planet earth. You could sustain life and thrive off of dairy alone if you needed to, it is that nutritious.

Plant based diets are void of so many bio-available nutrients, are highly estrogenic, loaded with rancid PUFAs, and simply do not work for our physiology.

Sugar and carbs? They are your body’s preferred fuel source. Without it your body will have to go through a super stressful process to create it’s own from other resources. Eliminating sugar and carbs does not fix insulin resistance but actually makes you more insulin resistant.

Seed cycling and cruciferous veggies, take about adding to the estrogenic, hormonal shit storm you are trying to fix in the first place.

Dairy is causing your acne? Come on. Not eating quality dairy, having a history of low carb dieting or an estrogenic plant based diet and that wrecked gut of yours is likely the culprit.

No. You can not lose weight and reverse symptoms in 30 days with some detox or cleanse. Stop falling for that BS and stop using bandaid diets to help with symptoms.

Imagine starving yourself willingly? Fasting is a massive stressor on the female body and will wreck havoc on your hormones. Every study done on fasting and the benefits is done on men. Men don’t have menstrual cycles.

The blanket advice to eat less and exercise more. Talk about ruining your metabolism.

This is why knowledge is power. All this advice seems to work short term, until it doesn’t and you are back at square one.

Your Body Will Never Feel Safe Until

Safety is an absence of fear. Everything we do (or don’t do) is due to fear. Fear of dying. Fear of getting fat. Fear of disease. Fear of cancer. Fear of xyz symptom. Fear of not being loved. Fear of losing something or someone. What if we stopped living in fear and actually started living? This fear and the actions we take based on these fears are what is making our bodies feel unsafe. Your body will always fight for safety. A safe body is a healthy body. Feelings of safety can be achieved through our thoughts and feelings and most importantly our environment and HOW WE REACT AND PERCEIVE these stressors/ fear. We as women innately know what to do and how to heal, it’s in our bones, it’s in our DNA. We can heal ourselves. And it may be as simple as just listening. Listening to everything your body is telling you about your internal and external environment. We have never questioned that our bodies can give birth or that we won’t know how to take care of a baby. One of the biggest events of our entire life that we innately know how to do as women but yet we question everything else around us and live in fear. If the world didn’t tell you how you should be eating or living or the fear it instills, you would most likely be innately drawn to the things that make your body feel safe. Community. Engaging in movement you actually love. Eating frequently and foods you enjoy. Eating a traditional diet rich in minerals and animal foods. Combining foods appropriately because they make you feel good. Not skipping meals and always eating breakfast. Always having coffee after or with meals. Getting to bed on time and taking time away from your phone. Spending days outdoors. Rather than thinking. Why me, why my body? Think. What is robbing me of safety right now? What if I took a minute to enjoy life rather than focusing on the negatives and what I fear. What if we looked at our symptoms as a sign of healing rather than something being wrong that needs fixing? What if you let your life, your environment be your nourishment? Listen deeply. Your body is just trying to keep you safe. Nobody has the power to make you feel unsafe besides you.

The Dangers of Soy, Flax, and Plant Estrogens

The medical industry can skew any study, review, or research depending on what their intention is and what will be the most profitable.

The saddest part.

We are all being played.

How many times have you heard that soy + flax are fantastic for your hormones?

I’l never forget the day I walked into the ND office riddled with estrogen symptoms and was told to add more soy and cruciferous vegetables and seed cycle with flax, as well as take DIM supplement. After I had already been on the birth control pill for 12 years. Holistic healthcare can be dangerous.

Here’s the deal. We live is a highly estrogenic world. We are all ridden with estrogen and most of our hormonal problems come back to an imbalance between estrogen and progesterone.

If you were vegan, fed soy milk or formula as a baby, seed cycled for “hormone balance” took birth control pills or bio-identical estrogen, added flax to your smoothies, took DIM supplements, and ate all the plant estrogens this is not to scare you!

You know better you do better. First step. Knock it off.

Next step. Evaluate your estrogen burden.

That includes the phytoestrogens above as well as those found in skincare, makeup, tap water, plastics, cooking utensils, cleaning supplies, etc…

Third step. Eat a metabolically supporting diet that works for YOUR physiology, address mineral imbalances and get your gut in check.

Girlfriend, you are smarter than this.

Stop being fooled into thinking this garbage will balance your hormones. Your body knows best, really truly listen to it. I can guarantee it’s not jumping for joy every time you give it that man made soy milk or vegan burger and that flax seed waste product.

Your breasts don’t lie. Dr. Hobbins spent his career studying the impacts of these such things on breast health using thermographs.
