We are a generation deprived of nourishment

Since birth we have been fighting our bodies.

We have been dieting and restricting, some of us as early as middle school.

I remember my first time thinking I needed to change my body so I started skipping breakfast and lunch and then binging on processed garbage when I got home from school.

We all have our stories and traumatic experiences we have gone through and our nervous system still gets activated thinking about it years later no matter how much work you have done.

Most of us grew on some form of birth control because we thought that was just what you did.

We simply can’t avoid all the heavy metals we are exposed to on the daily. Our world is toxic.

Most of us have experimented with some form of trendy dieting that we screamed from the roof tops and would have fought to our death that it was healthy that in reality left us depleted and our metabolisms trashed.

We have all experimented with supplements thinking they would cure us of all our ailments cuz Karen said so on Instagram.

Every single one of us is struggling with poor digestive function in some capacity due to the above. Mark my words.

This is all stress.

Stress requires more energy and nutrients to keep our bodies thriving and symptom free.

Our bodies have taken huge hits over the years and we are being told by random experts to eat less and restrict or eliminate foods for todays beauty standards or to “heal.”

It’s coming at us from all angles. But you have the freedom to choose nourishment.

9 Lies You Have Been Told About Health and Your Body

Talk about confusing and stressful as hell.

If we followed all this advice we would be loaded with synthetic hormones, energy deficient, eating loads of PUFAs, ridden with disease and digestive issues, starving and malnourished AF.

So what’s the actual truth?

Birth control is classified as a carcinogen. Yes, it’s that harmful and does not get to the root of your symptoms but rather masks them with synthetic hormones.

No you can not get pregnant all month long! You have a tiny window you can get pregnant each cycle, learn the FAM method and ditch the birth control.

Meat, diary and saturated fat are some of the most nutritious foods on planet earth. You could sustain life and thrive off of dairy alone if you needed to, it is that nutritious.

Plant based diets are void of so many bio-available nutrients, are highly estrogenic, loaded with rancid PUFAs, and simply do not work for our physiology.

Sugar and carbs? They are your body’s preferred fuel source. Without it your body will have to go through a super stressful process to create it’s own from other resources. Eliminating sugar and carbs does not fix insulin resistance but actually makes you more insulin resistant.

Seed cycling and cruciferous veggies, take about adding to the estrogenic, hormonal shit storm you are trying to fix in the first place.

Dairy is causing your acne? Come on. Not eating quality dairy, having a history of low carb dieting or an estrogenic plant based diet and that wrecked gut of yours is likely the culprit.

No. You can not lose weight and reverse symptoms in 30 days with some detox or cleanse. Stop falling for that BS and stop using bandaid diets to help with symptoms.

Imagine starving yourself willingly? Fasting is a massive stressor on the female body and will wreck havoc on your hormones. Every study done on fasting and the benefits is done on men. Men don’t have menstrual cycles.

The blanket advice to eat less and exercise more. Talk about ruining your metabolism.

This is why knowledge is power. All this advice seems to work short term, until it doesn’t and you are back at square one.

5 Things to Focus On When Coming Off Hormonal Birth Control

I know. You have probably read some of my previous posts on the effects of birth control and are now thinking “well shit, I should probably think about going off birth control but I have no idea how!”

I got you girlfriend! Here are some simple steps you can take post birth control to help support your body and get things back in balance.

MINERAL IMBALANCES + DEFICIENCIES
The birth control pill depletes you of all the essential nutrients needed to support your hormones + pregnancy, funny how that works huh? I would highly suggest running a HTMA to address mineral imbalances directly and to also see your thyroid and hormonal ratio as well as iron and copper status.

LIVER + DETOX SUPPORT
Birth control / medications tax your liver + digestive system. Support your digestion with nourishing foods like bone broth, collagen, and aloe. Help your body detox excess synthetic hormones with castor oil packs, enemas, dry brushing, saunas, raw carrot salad, rebounding, milk thistle, beets and coffee.

PROPER NOURISHMENT
Eat to support your metabolism with nourishing foods like quality meats and dairy, collagen/gelatin, eggs, fruit, roots and tubers, etc and ditch processed foods. Also, be mindful of the amount of exercise you are doing. Too much or too little can be a stressor.

BLOOD SUGAR BALANCE
Eat upon waking and every 3-4 hours, stop skipping meals and combine carb, protein and fat at every meal.

+ Give your cycle 3-6 mo to regulate.
+ Make sure it’s the right time! Evaluate your stress levels, relationship & where you are in life.
+ Give it a year before trying to conceive to get your body back in balance.

Taking birth control interferes with our basic physiology as women, this causes deep disconnect. I promise, you will feel so empowered + connected to your body once you stop suppressing your cycles.

Take a deep breath, I know it can be stressful.

You Can’t Get Pregnant Every Day of the Month

“It’s rare but pregnancy may occur and be life threatening and may cause infertility, bleeding and spotting may increase in the first 3-6 months and remain irregular, ovarian cysts may occur but usually disappear, periods overtime usually become lighter, shorter or stop, it may attach or go through the uterus, at first periods might become heavier, longer and spotting in between.”

10 Things That Impact Your Health Status Today

Listen up, your current health status has nothing to do with what you did today, yesterday, or even a year ago from now. It goes way back!

We get so hyper-focused on the now and our current symptoms.

“I have adrenal fatigue and PCOS, I think I worked out too hard at the gym for the past year”

“I am estrogen dominant, it must be that lipstick and lotion I have been using”

“I have acne, it’s totally the dairy”

“I have migraines, it must be my hormones”

“I have IBS, I must be sensitive to eggs, dairy, gluten, grains, and fruit”

True, MAYBE these could be some culprits to your symptoms.

But in reality, these symptoms are just a representation of years and years of stress, neglect and abuse on our bodies and most of the time it’s unbeknownst to us and starts as early as the day we are conceived.

As women living in today’s world, we are SO stressed out. Add any of the above on top of that already full stress bucket and that is the perfect recipe for chronic health symptoms.

Healing is not just about nutrition. It is mental, emotional and physical.

Nutrition is the foundation. Without it, you will never have the energy to dive deeper.

Are you living your life purpose?

Was your mom stressed during pregnancy and burning through minerals?

Where you born c-section and formula fed depriving you of necessary bacteria for your gut to thrive?

Where you on birth control for years? Maybe antibiotics?

Did you grow up drinking fluorinated tap water, sodas, and processed foods?
