Salt Sugar Saturated Fat

Bring these stress reducing, metabolism boosting, hormone and digestively supportive super foods back into your diet!

I know.

“But Laura I was told salt will cause high blood pressure”

“Saturated fat causes high cholesterol”

“Sugar causes insulin resistance, cancer and disease”

How is it that these foods that we have been consuming since the dawn of time are the most demonized to this day? MIND BLOWN.

We are blaming a traditional diet on modern day diseases.

It’s scary that we have become so lost as a society on what to eat when innately we know what we are eating is not working – this modern day processed plant based alternative garbage.

I will forever be baffled that consuming salt, sugar, and saturated fat is controversial.

Diet culture has embedded it in our head. Still to this day every time I eat sugar, salt, or red meat there is this little voice in my head that brings be back to the days everyone said you would die of a heart attack for eating a burger or scrambled eggs cooked in butter and salt or some ice cream.

How many times do I tell a client to add more salt to their diet and their eyes open wide with fear.

So what’s the real culprit?

1. Not choosing quality sources of salt, sugar and saturated fat (see slides)
2. Eating a processed food, standard american diet, processed plant-based foods rather than the real deal
3. Blood sugar imbalances
4. PUFA consumption
5. Diets that don’t support our physiology
6. Demonizing food groups
7. Mineral depletions from all of the above

What do all of these do? Create unnecessary stress on the body. What do salt, sugar, and saturated fat do? Decrease stress in the body.

Girl, ditch the sugar detoxes, stop demonizing salt and fearing dairy and red meat.

This is just made up bullshit to stress you out more and have you consume garbage that will just make you sicker.
